Miranda Schofield MA
Manager: Archaeological Illustrator
Miranda has over twenty years’ archaeological illustration experience working across the United Kingdom and Europe. Previously employed as a Graphics Officer for English Heritage Ancient Monuments Drawing Office in the late 1980s’ and early 1990s’. She has worked on excavation and post excavation projects for archaeological units and as a freelance illustrator, designer and artist. Miranda also has experience in the wider heritage sector working within museums, galleries, college, schools and community settings before joining Border Archaeology in January 2017.
She gained her first degree in Art and Design in 1983, a Masters in Printmaking in 2004, followed by a Post Graduate Certificate in Post Compulsory Education and Training in 2006.
Miranda has contributed to numerous academic and specialist publications and is currently producing digitised illustrations for site reports.
