We have an exciting new opportunity for someone with an enquiring mind who is very organised and a self-starter.

Working from our new air-conditioned offices in Leominster & using new & existing databases to contact potential customers of our Milton Keynes and Shoreditch offices, your role will be to develop and maintain these relationships, raising awareness of our services and the Border brand.

Working closely with the senior management team, there will also be opportunities to attend conferences and exhibitions representing the company throughout the Midlands and the South.

You will need to have an outgoing, professional approach to making and developing relationships, the ability to work constructively with a variety of people across the business and be a positive and committed individual with a genuine and positive approach to team work.

Archaeobotanist – full time/ part time

Milton Keynes

The role will be based within our large Paleoenvironmental Department in Milton Keynes. The main duties will involve ID’s of the rarer macro- remains retrieved, largely, from commercial floatation, but more importantly to develop the palaeoenvironmental departmental staff in basic ID’s and to develop their skills towards advanced ID’s.

The post holder will be required to research and recommend relevant training and conferences for the department.

A report writing record is desirable but not essential.

We have opportunities for experienced Field Archaeologists seeking to develop their career.

Our projects include large-scale open area multi-phase excavations, ranging from the Iron Age to the early Medieval, which offer opportunities for professional advancement and development; from our Milton Keynes hub, we regularly undertake smaller projects, in both urban and rural areas, providing our staff with experience of all facets of Commercial Archaeology and greater autonomy and responsibility.

Essential Criteria:

A minimum of 6 months’ Commercial Archaeology experience

Ability to work to standards and deadlines

IT literate

Driving Licence

Archaeology (or related) degree (preferably post-graduate)
