Coarse Border Ware

12 July 2016

Coarse Border Ware recovered near Wanborough in Surrey during a watching brief for South East Water.

It dates to between the 14th and 15th centuries. The jug handle is part of a conical jug and dates to the 14th century - It is possible that the sherds derive from pottery manufacture known to exist in the area.
