Emma Hardy
Emma has been at Border Archaeology since 2013. She oversees the post-excavation work which comes to the Head Office, processing archaeological materials recovered from various sites. Emma ensures these materials are expertly handled by both internal and external specialists. Additionally, she curates the project archive, which she deposits with the relevant museum, making it accessible to researchers and the general public.
Emma has also been involved in public engagement, organsing exhibition materials that showcase the work of Border Archaeology within the community.
Emma has a BA (Hons) in Archaeology from the University of Reading and an MA in Landscape Archaeology from the University of Leicester. Before joining Border Archaeology, she volunteered with Herefordshire HER and has a background in Living History and historical costume making. In her spare time, Emma enjoys digging in her allotment.
