18,800 artefacts discovered in Banbury, Oxfordshire

Border Archaeology and Orbit Homes recently put on an event in Banbury Town Hall to showcase and highlight the discovery of 18,800 historical artefacts, after excavations at Calthorpe Gardens development uncovered archaeological evidence dating from the Prehistoric Mesolithic, Late bronze Age-Middle to Late Iron Age, and through to early Anglo-Saxon times.

With an attendance of well over 200+, it proved a very rewarding evening that shows how popular and important these events are to local people.
