Archaeological Evening – Sherston, Wiltshire

On behalf of Bristol Water, as part of our commitment to managing Public Engagement events, we organised, publicised and presented an array of archaeological finds to the local community.

The finds were unearthed during the Shipton Moyne to Tolldown water pipe replacement scheme and included Roman artefacts. Services provided by us at this time included a detailed Desk-Based Assessment and Walkover Survey of the route followed by a programme of Watching Brief (Archaeological Observation)  and Archaeological Excavation in specific areas.

The evening proved a great success with our client and was greatly appreciated by the local community.

“Rachel,

Just want to say a huge thank you to you and all at Border Archaeology for a super evening on Tuesday. It was so well organised, informative and enjoyed by all!

In fact, it was a great end to a very well organised overall project by Bristol Water, so praise to them too.”
